G1 Supercard will be the first non WWE event held in the Garden `
Vince tried to stop this but failed. The NJPW/ ROH G1 Supercard has officially sold out the Madison Square Garden. The show is scheduled to happen April 6, 2019 and will basically be going head to head with Wrestlemania Weekend and WWE’s best product NXT.
Tickets went on sale last week for Honor Club subscribers and officials reported that 60% of the tickets were sold. The rest were released at 10am this morning and the rest was history nearly minutes later.
*This is the first non WWE show in the Garden and it sold out in less than 30 minutes.
WWE tried to intervene and prevent this event from happening but just like Matt Jackson posted on twitter “ The Business is changing”. This is surely something that will catch VInce attention. WWE hasn’t sold out the Garden in 3 years and not even Ronda Rousey could generate enough buzz to sell out the house show a couple months back.
The business is changing. Buckle up.

Ring of Honor and definitely NJPW continues to push forward and breath down the neck of WWE. The Garden sits nearly 19,000 people and they sold that out in quick fashion. One can only think that it’s time for NJPW to aim for bigger venues(WWE sized venues) im confident they could sell out a building sitting 50,000 people.
