The Atlanta Falcons are stacked and hungry and the NFC should be on high alert…..
Of course no one is going to let go of Super Bowl 51. That melt down in the 2nd half hurt every Atlanta fan in the world but it’s time to wake up. The Falcons are no longer in there Super Bowl slump. They shook it off and this season they are more dangerous than ever. The Rams, Vikings and Defending champs Eagles are all favorites to come out the East but its times the NFC takes notice. The NFC should be alert of the Falcons.
The offense will be better than last year
Let’s all admit that this offense really looked bad last year after coming off a year of having the best offense in the league. Steve Sarkisan is entering his second year as the Falcons OC and you don’t think they worked out these kinks on the offensive side of the ball to bring back this top 5 offense. Look at all these weapons:
- Devonte Freeman
- Tevin Coleman
- Julio Jones
- Muhammed Sanu
- Austin Cooper
- Calvin Ridley (Potential Rookie of the Year)
Matt Ryan is the chef of this fine establishment and the only problem he is going to have it making sure everyone eats.
Experience Experience Experience
Experience matters and as much as everyone makes fun of the Falcons collapse in the super bowl they still got some experience and learned from that melt down. Last year they adopted a very important skill in the game of football that they always needed…..WINNING UGLY. When you think of that just think of Alabama, they do it all the time.
The Falcons still make bad calls but so does every team but now they have the experience to grind out tough games and win in the end whether it’s stopping someone from scoring or controlling the clock until the end, they have that experience and more of it should be displayed this season.
Defense only gets better
Even through the second half of the season last year the Falcons got better but the thing that should really stand out to everyone is this outstanding defense that Dan Quinn has created. The Falcons defense is definitely one of the top 5 defenses in the league. This young core has become more and more experienced a plus better with time. Fast and hard hitting we can keep up with any offense in the NFL. The Falcons offense will stand out because the league is based around the best offenses but the defense will make headlines throughout the year as one of the most feared defenses in the league.
Super Bowl 53 will be in Atlanta this year and the Falcons have the tools and the skills to play and win the Super Bowl in their own stadium The NFC should be on high alert but so should the rest of the NFL as well.
