Celtics vs Cavs: Celtics shut down Lebron and Company to take game 1 buy 25.

Lebron may be the best player in basketball today but too many times other teams are looked over because they are playing Lebron. The Celtics came out in Game 1 and showed everyone they are not scared of Lebron and company and beat the Cavs by 25.

The Cavs are now 5-3 when wearing matching suits.

Now Boston came out early firing on all cylinders and by half time they held the Cavs to 35 points thats 1 point more than what Lebron averages in the playoffs this year. The halftime score was 61-35. The Cavs tried to storm back in the 2nd half but the Celtics kept control of the game and finished strong. Now Marcus Morris made it known that he can shut down Lebron but that was a total team effort as Lebron had a problem scoring on anyone that was guarding him. Sure he almost had another triple double but his shooting tonight was just as bad as the rest of the team.

Lebron finished with 15 points shooting 5 of 16 from the field along with 7 turnovers. The rest of the Cavs were no where to be found as well. The Cavs shot 4-26 from the 3 and everyone was being strangled by that Celtics D to get any shots off.

The Celtics on the other hand played another well rounded game and 2 players went of for 20. Along side his great defensive effort Morris gave the C’s a double double( 21 point and 10 rebounds), Al Horford was stuffing stats with 20/4/6 shooting 80% from the field and Jaylen Brown went off for 23 points and 8 rebounds.

The rookie Jayson Tatum struggled in the beginning but had a solid 2nd half to hold off the late Cavs push and he finished with 16.

Overall as a team the Celtics shot 50% from the field and put all the doubters on notice. Game 2c is on tuesday and the Cavs need to think fast before they put themselves in a 0-2 hole.
