“If it is (a ploy), it will follow him for the rest of his days, that he did not do it. I said I would do it and I stepped up and I done it. It’s his time now.”
These are the words of Conor McGregor when it comes to Floyd fighting in the octagon. Floyd is lighting up the sports world right now. He is making videos and posting pictures teasing a potential fight in the octagon. Floyd Mayweather is 50-0 in the boxing world and hate him or love him, the guy is a very good business man and a huge money draw where ever he goes. But lets face it 9 times out of 10 this is just all hype and a way for him to stay relevant.

What does Floyd really have to prove by making that transition to the the octagon? Floyd is a very calculated man when it comes to his fights. Yes he would definitely draw a big pay day from making that transition but this is a high risk high reward situation and that’s just not his style. Do you really think Floyd would have too that fight against Conor if he was a legitimate threat to his record and his brand?

Yes Floyd is a world class boxer and im sure he would pay big money for some of the top stars and legends to train him but he wouldnt be able to pull that win off against Conor in his true element. Floyd is 41 years old and he cares alot about his legacy and his record and i dont think he would damage that for a big pay day. He gave Conor the biggest pay day he will ever get as a fighter and i dont think he would want him to return the favor with a ass whooping in the octagon. That 1 loss in the octagon for a big pay day would hurt Mayweather’s legacy and i think he wants to stay undefeated more then he wants to make history and build up another mega fight.
The guy is trolling us everyone and we all have to eventually realize it. The videos and the pictures, its just all hype and ways to keep himself relevant. At the end of the day the only way i can see this happening is if Dana could some how get this man his biggest pay day ever and thats really a long shot in my eyes.
So really just move on. We got bigger problems, Daniel Cormier is being considered the GOAT if he beats Stipe and Im still waiting for Conor to fight Khabib. Like i said Floyd is calculated and his style is low risk high reward.
Floyd fighting at Wrestlemania was a low risk high reward move
Floyd fighting Conor was a low risk high reward move
Floyd transitioning to MMA is a high risk move and even with a high reward its just not a risk he is really going to take.
